Our Chocolate Rice Krispies Treats Recipe

Dd had one of her friends for a sleepover and we all made these together – too yummy!

There are a couple of “musts” to making the perfect gooey Rice Krispies

Treats:
(1) the stovetop is THE way to go
(2) you HAVE to melt the butter sloooowly and make sure it doesn’t turn
brown at all.
(3) mix in the marshmallows and melt them just as slowly. If the butter
gets brown, the treats will be dry.

We double our recipe and it still fits fine into a 13×9 pan (grease the pan ).

To make them use the following measurements:

11.5 cups Rice Krispies,
1 whole stick of butter,
(1) 16oz bag of mini marshmallows.
1 tsp vanilla added to melted marshmallows

optional – 1 cup choc chips added to the melted marshmallows

Press into the greased pan with a piece of waxed paper and let it cool – then cut into squares
Or shape into balls or use a cookie cutter for shapes as well.
